Hello Everyone!
I am now officially moved in at ORU for my junior year of nursing school. There has been so much going on lately. My family and my boyfriend drove down to Oklahoma with us on Friday for the process of getting settled in on campus. It was really nice being able to spend all weekend with them before they left to go back home yesterday. My sister and I won't be returning home till October for our fall break so I will definitely miss everyone back home in the great state of Illinois.
Today was such a busy day. I had nursing orientation for 8 hours and so many different things were going on. It started at 8:30 am with a great devotional and prayer time with the faculty and nursing students. It was so anointed and the peace of God just flooded the whole room. It was definitely what I needed to start out a great semester. We had a dosage calculation test after that. I had been so nervous and kept praying about this test because we were required to get a certain grade to move onto clinicals. However, after the devotionals I had so much peace that everything would be alright. When the time came for the test and I had finished all the problems I knew that I had gotten a perfect score. God is so good!
I just wanted to share that today because I had woken up this morning with an uneasy feeling in my stomach and just felt so nervous about the test. I immediately started to bring it before the Lord because I knew that His peace goes beyond understanding to deliver comfort to us. Philippians 4:7 says, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." I love that verse because it totally describes a bubble of peace that we can walk in everyday of our lives. We can't allow ourselves to get so caught up in what's going on and anxious about the future. God gives us peace that helps us to walk through anything and come out on top!
I am excited to be back at ORU this semester and I know that God will do such great things this year. Every year gets better and better! I hope you all have a great week. I will try to post sometime later this week! Thanks for reading!
